School Feeding Program
Over 1,000,000 meals provided

Tafika implemented a school feeding project funded by Mary's Meals (MM) in Mzimba north.
The project targets 10 schools and started on 1st January 2021 - 31st December 2021. In the first year only 5 primary schools were targeted, namely Wengwani, Lusangazi, Dunduzu, Emazinyeni and Malivenji. A total of 4,193 learners are benefiting from the project. The project then expanded to cover 10 schools.
The project is aimed at reducing hunger, increasing enrolment, improving attendance as well as pupil nutritional status.
HELPING ELDERLY PEOPLE

90 years old Elinayi Zgambo lived here with her 13 grand children. Tafika built a house for her. We worked with Plan International. Tafika identified the need, mobilized the community, provided labor.
Working with funding supplied by Nourishing Minds we enable the community to feed their own school children

Tafika bought and provided them with 100 kilograms of fertilizer and 10 kilograms of maize seed to produce and feed school going children.

ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN (OVC) SUPPORT
This is Nelise Mwale of Chisangano Primary School, one of the vulnerable children we are supporting. Here she has been given a School uniform and clothes from Tafika. She lives with her father who has a mental illness. Her mother died a couple of years ago.
CREATING DIGNITY

Pupils are receiving school uniforms from Tafika OVC Program. It is important that children feel good about themselves and that they 'fit in'. A uniform is a key element in that.
SCHOOL FEES SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

Tafika also runs a School fees sponsorship program. The project is helping 285 students with funding from Plan International.
WATER AND SANITATION PROGRAM
Due to poor water sources in many of our communities Tafika working together with formidable joy organization(USA) has managed to drill new boreholes in 6 areas and rehabilitate 13 boreholes both in school and communities the compony which is drilling is Mozagua drilling company
PASS THE PIGS PROGRAM

Tafika has a program where we buy a bag of cement and a pig for a family. We show them how to build a sty and train them on how to look after a pig. We even bring a male pig to visit, because when the sow has piglets we ask the owner to pass on the first two piglets to the next family. In this way the community as a whole is strengthened.

EDUCATION
Tafika is working with Classroom for Malawi in building of classrooms in primary school, there is a construction of a new Brock at Emazinyeni primary school, and 14 Trees company is the contractor of that project
